ABOUT MICHAEL BECKER

Michael Becker is one of the most experienced divorce mediators in Connecticut. He has practiced full-time divorce mediation longer than anyone in
the state.

Michael brings a unique combination of professional expertise to help his clients since he is:

> An attorney with 20 years experience who can help you understand the legal issues
> A former accountant, who is experienced in personal finance and
tax matters
> A marriage and family therapy Master’s Degree candidate which equips him with the tools to reduce conflict
> A former law school professor at UConn and Quinnipiac Law Schools, who can educate you to understand money matters, family issues and the legal process

Michael is an Association for Conflict Resolution Advanced Practitioner — the highest level designation — attained by fewer than 9 percent of all members. He is a founding Director and two-time Past-President of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation, and served on the Council's committee which wrote its Standards of Practice.

Michael has written for and been featured in numerous legal, financial and family-related publications, including Connecticut Magazine, the American Journal of Family Law, Financial Planning Magazine, the Connecticut Post and The Connecticut Family Lawyer.

Michael holds licenses to practice law in both New York and Connecticut, and is a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
